What is Wave of Light?
Wave of Light is an annual, global event that happens every October 15 during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
On this day, thousands of families around the world light a candle in memory of babies lost during pregnancy, birth or infancy. Candles are lit for one hour starting at 7:00 p.m. local time.
Many nonprofits and hospitals host virtual and/or in-person events you can attend, or you can simply light a candle in your home and share about it on social media using #WaveofLight.
What is the Wave of Light collection?
Our Wave of Light collection is a special and meaningful tribute to babies who died during pregnancy, birth or infancy.
Every year at the beginning of July, families share the names of their babies with us to include on our candles. We alphabetize all of the names submitted to us and feature them side by side on a wrap-around label.
This year's collection honors more than 1,500 babies.
We also have the option to personalize a candle with a single name for those who did not get a chance to submit a name to us, or who simply want a candle with just their baby’s name.
Our Wave of Light collection is created every year as part of our mission to support families who have been impacted by the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or any other type of death. It is a limited edition collection and only available once a year as part of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month (October).
When will I receive my Wave of Light order?
After preorders for our Wave of Light candles close, it takes us about a month to make all candles and label each one by hand. We will start packing and shipping orders every day around mid-September and you should be receiving your candles before October 15 (Wave of Light).
When your order is packed, you will receive an email with tracking information. Please allow up to 48 hours for the tracking number to update.
