Giving Back With Each Purchase
When I started Sage & Sara in the summer of 2020, I wanted to make more than just candles. I wanted to also support families who experience a pregnancy or infant loss because I had just gone through my very own. Earlier that year, I was in a hospital bed saying hello and goodbye to my little Sage, and I just knew I had to do something that honored his memory, and helped others.
I didn't exactly know how to do this, but I found many organizations that provide grief support and resources to bereaved families nationwide at no cost to them.
And I asked myself, is it possible I can help others through these organizations? And how do I do that?
That's where our candles come in. For every purchase made at our shop, a portion of our profits is donated to nonprofits that provide bereaved families with freecounseling, financial assistance, memorial services, photography and more.
Since our founding, we have contributed close to $15,000 in monetary donations to nonprofits nationwide including the following:
