In observance of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month in October, we've created this candle that includes the pink and blue ribbon and can be personalized with your baby's name.
The pink and blue ribbon is a symbol of support and advocacy for baby loss during and after pregnancy, including but not limited to miscarriage, stillbirth and infancy death.
Light it throughout the month of October or on the Wave of Light event taking place October 15th. Wave of Light commemorates the babies who lit up our lives for such a short time and is an opportunity to join with bereaved parents, families and friends around the globe. Simply light this candle at 7pm local time on 15 October and leave it burning for at least one hour.
15% of each purchase will be donated to Abel Speaks, a a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Richardson, Texas that provides support to families who have chosen to carry a child with a life-limiting diagnosis. They serve families with spiritual, emotional, and relational support, provide medical connections, offer maternity and birth photography, doulas, keepsake boxes and more.
- The first time you burn your candle, allow it to burn all the way to the edges of your jar (at least 2-3 hours). This will help your candle burn more evenly next time.
- Before each lighting, trim the wick to 1/4-inch length, which will allow the candle to burn slowly and will help avoid unsightly black marks around the edge of the glass.
